Iceland’s Volcanic Ash Travels in Germany: Cloud Ashes From Iceland Volcano

Air travel to and from northern Europe were grounded or diverted due to volcanic ash particles of the risk of damage to aircraft engines. NASA is working with other agencies to use satellite observations to help identify and control risks caused by aviation volcanic ash.
